Is it really free?
Yes. There's no sign-up, no payment and no trial. We may show ads on some pages to cover running costs, but never on quizzes.
Is my PDF private?
Your PDF never leaves your device. Your browser pulls the text out of it, and only that text is sent to write the questions. We don't keep the text afterwards. The finished quiz is stored for 30 days so your share link works, then deleted automatically. See the privacy policy.
How long are quizzes kept?
Share links work for 30 days, then the quiz is deleted automatically.
Can I make flashcards for Anki or Quizlet?
Yes. Choose Flashcards above, or open any quiz and pick Anki or Quizlet under "Export to". Anki gets a file you import with File → Import (fill-in-the-blank questions become cloze cards). Quizlet gets the cards copied, ready to paste into its Import box.
What kind of PDFs work best?
Lecture notes, textbook chapters, articles, handouts and policies, up to 100 pages. Slides with only a few words per page give thinner questions. Long documents are sampled evenly from start to finish, so questions still cover the whole thing.
Does it work with scanned PDFs or photos?
Not yet. Scans and photos of paper contain no selectable text, so there's nothing for us to read. A quick test: if you can highlight words in the PDF, it will work.
How accurate are the questions?
Questions are written only from the text in your PDF, and every quiz is checked automatically for problems like missing answers, duplicate options and repeated questions. It's still made by AI, so treat it as a study aid: if a question looks off, check it against your notes.
Can I print a quiz or use it in Kahoot or Google Forms?
Yes. Every quiz has a printable worksheet with an answer key, which you can also save as a PDF. Kahoot gets a spreadsheet for its "Import spreadsheet" option, and Google Forms gets a short script that builds a self-marking quiz in your Google account.
Can I use a web page or my own notes instead of a PDF?
Yes. Choose Paste text to use notes from anywhere, or Web page to use an article's link. Pages behind a login can't be read, so paste their text instead.
Can I share a quiz or time it?
Yes. Anyone with the link can take your quiz for 30 days, no account needed. You can add a timer when you make the quiz, and people taking an untimed quiz can add their own.
