How to import the cards into Quizlet
When your cards are ready, press Quizlet under "Export to". The cards are copied to your clipboard, one per line with a tab between the term and the definition, which is exactly what Quizlet expects.
In Quizlet, create a new flashcard set and choose Import (or "Import from Word, Excel, Google Docs, etc."). Paste into the box, leave the settings on Tab and New line, and press Import. Add a title and save the set.
What the cards look like
Each card has the question as the term and the answer, with a one-line explanation, as the definition. Multiple choice questions keep their four options on the term side so you can still pick one in Learn mode. Fill-in-the-blank questions are handy for Quizlet Spell and Write practice.
Cards are spread across the whole PDF, so every section is covered. For one lecture or chapter, tick "Only use some pages" after adding the PDF. You can also study the cards on this site straight away, or send them to Anki instead.

Do I need a Quizlet account?
You need one to save a set in Quizlet, but not to make the cards here. You can also study the cards on this site with no account at all.
Can Quizlet import a PDF directly?
Quizlet imports text, not PDF files. This tool reads the PDF, writes questions and answers from it with AI, and gives you text in the format Quizlet imports.
How many pages can the PDF have?
Up to 100 pages. Long documents are sampled evenly from start to finish so the cards cover the whole thing. For a focused set, pick a page range.
The copy button did not work. What now?
Some browsers block the clipboard. The cards then appear in a text box that is already selected: press Ctrl+C (or Cmd+C on a Mac) and paste into Quizlet.
Can I move a Quizlet set to Anki?
Yes. Use the Quizlet to Anki converter: export the set from Quizlet, paste it in, and download an Anki file.
