How it works
Paste your notes
In Notion press Ctrl+A (Cmd+A) then Ctrl+C on the page, and paste here.
Make the cards
Choose 5 to 50 cards and a difficulty, then check them here.
Import into Anki
Press Anki under "Export to", then File → Import in Anki.
No export, no add-on
Other Notion to Anki tools ask you to export your workspace as HTML or Markdown, or to format every card as a toggle list. Here you just copy the page text. The AI reads your notes and writes the questions itself, so plain paragraphs, bullet lists and headings all work.
The cards only use what you paste. A page of lecture notes is enough for a short deck; a long page works for up to 50 cards, spread across the whole thing.
Basic and cloze cards
Flashcards use Anki’s Basic note type: the question on the front, the answer and a one-line explanation on the back. For cloze cards, switch to Quiz above and choose "Fill in the blank" as the question type; exported to Anki, those arrive as Cloze notes with the key term hidden, which is how most Anki users learn definitions.
Press Anki under "Export to" and a small file downloads. In Anki for Windows, Mac or Linux choose File → Import and pick it: the deck name, note types and a tag are set for you. Sync, and the cards appear in AnkiMobile and AnkiDroid.
Frequently asked questions
Still stuck? Get in touch.
Do I need to format my Notion page in a special way?
No. Unlike notion2anki-style converters, you do not need toggle lists or a question/answer layout. Paste ordinary notes and the AI writes the questions and answers.
Can I paste a whole Notion database?
Paste the text you want to study. For a database, open it as a page or table, select the rows and copy them. Very long pastes are sampled evenly so the cards cover everything.
Are images and equations included?
Only text is used. Equations written as text are fine; images and embedded files are ignored.
I already have question/answer pairs. Can I import them as they are?
Yes. Put them one per line with a tab or comma between question and answer and use the Quizlet to Anki converter, which turns any two-column list into an Anki file without changing the wording.
Can I use a PDF instead?
Yes. If you exported the Notion page as a PDF, use PDF to Anki and drop the file in.
