About PDFQuizGenerator

PDFQuizGenerator is a free tool that turns a PDF into a quiz, flashcards or a printable worksheet in seconds. We built it because testing yourself is one of the most effective ways to learn, but writing good questions takes time that students and teachers rarely have.

What it does

You add a PDF, such as lecture notes, a textbook chapter, a handout or a policy (or paste text, or give a web page link), and choose how many questions you want, what type and how hard. A few seconds later you get an interactive quiz with a one-line explanation for every answer and an optional timer. At the end you see your score and a full review, and you can share the quiz with a link. The same questions can be studied as flashcards, printed as a worksheet with an answer key, or exported to Anki, Quizlet, Kahoot and Google Forms.

How it works

  1. Your browser reads the text out of the PDF on your own device.
  2. Only that text is sent to an AI model, which writes questions spread across the whole document using only information in it.
  3. Every quiz is checked automatically, for example for missing answers, duplicate options and repeated questions, before you see it.

Privacy first

Your PDF never leaves your device, there are no accounts, and quizzes are deleted after 30 days. The privacy policy explains exactly what is sent and stored.

Keeping it free

PDFQuizGenerator is free to use with no sign-up. To cover running costs we may show ads on the home page and guides, never on quizzes.

A study aid, not an oracle

Questions are written by AI from your document, so they are only as accurate as the source and can occasionally be wrong. If something looks off, check it against your notes, and let us know.
